To apply in an advertising job, you might be asked to submit a portfolio together with your resume. In this way, not only the employer will see the list of qualifications and experience you have as an advertiser but the employer will also be able to see your work. So to have a good impression, polish your portfolio. Make sure that the content of your portfolio reflects and will give the employers a perspective on how you write and think. Before giving your portfolio, ask for another person’s opinion to see if it’s ready enough to be submitted. Have a good portfolio case. It should contain your best works of course and always updated.

creativeresumeThey are more than your regular resumes, adding a touch of flair to the more than boring standard ones you see from day to day. They also advertise your creativity which is what you are all about. Be unique and experiment with your portfolio that would speak for you even without a single word spoken to such effect. Just be sure to make it clear and direct, not too embellished enough to sidetrack your ultimate goal of landing a job.
When interviewed, show or tell why you made such a resume and discuss you successes in your career so you get your work to speak for you. Be honest and frank but always courteous in your answers, mind your body language as well. But don’t worry too much, job hunting is like fishing, you win some you lose some, and sometimes you get the big one that gets away, but “just keep swimming” as the cartoon fish always said.

ResumeArtAre you good at what you do? Then why not include some artistic expression into the traditionally bland and straightforward resume? You decide how far you can go but for artistic careers, creativity is encouraged indeed. What better way of presenting your information that on a piece of paper you have painted on or printed onto some of your previous work.
Not an expert and want to begin making your mark, then by all means do so. Your resume should be artistic yet still perform the primary function of presenting your historical information and other details you expect in one. Don’t get too carried away, can’t seem to fit all your ideas into the few pages, you can always include a portfolio of your work to fully express and showcase your abilities and talents.
