copy-1.jpgWriting or copywriting is a very lucrative way of expressing views and selling products, when applying for jobs samples of your work are nice but be sure they follow some guidelines from the experts that they become acceptable and presentable. When asked to make a sample writeup as part of your testing for the job be sure to follow through with these points.
Avoid writing like a robot or the energizer bunny with repetitive ideas that go on and on and on… Make your sentences concise and exacting that they send the message across in the least amount of words. Never ever overstate the obvious when writing, saying or stating the same thing over and over again can be boring and most people don;t have time to burn and don’t like wasting time.

Understanding advertising in its simplest way is important even for an advertising graduate, you might have knowledge on it by the book but, outside it’ss a different world. We simply perceive advertising as posting product ads through television, radio or the internet where people will easily see them. A catching advertisement will of course make a big sell out compared to an ad with a so-so tag line, and that is what we call competition. It’s also the same as writing your resume, you will have to compete with other applicants who have with them their catchy resumes, be sure to arm yours with all the qualifications, achievements, trainings, etc., that you gained through the years you’ve been working. It’s not only selling but you’re also advertising yourself.

Having a good resume is all good and well, but what a resume does is simply provide a prelude, an introduction to what you’re capable of. It’s up to employers if they see any potential in it or not. When giving out resumes, try to attach some of the best advertising campaigns you feel you’ve worked on. A demo reel or a portfolio of print advertisements will do; it doesn’t have to be really extensive, just enough for the employer to see what exactly your work is like. Showing your work also gives insight about how you work and what your style is, allowing employers to see how they might be able to use you in their company. Having actual samples of work are a good supplement to an already impressive resume.

ResumeArtAre you good at what you do? Then why not include some artistic expression into the traditionally bland and straightforward resume? You decide how far you can go but for artistic careers, creativity is encouraged indeed. What better way of presenting your information that on a piece of paper you have painted on or printed onto some of your previous work.
Not an expert and want to begin making your mark, then by all means do so. Your resume should be artistic yet still perform the primary function of presenting your historical information and other details you expect in one. Don’t get too carried away, can’t seem to fit all your ideas into the few pages, you can always include a portfolio of your work to fully express and showcase your abilities and talents.

post1.jpgAdvertising is a two-way communication process. It is the act of calling the attention of the public to products or services by arousing their desire to patronize them. Communication can be classified as advertising if it is; paid for, attempting to persuade or promote and delivered to the public via mass media.

An advertisement is considered effective when people are willing to patronize the desired message. It must persuade the audience to act on the message that it wants to get across. The message must be sent, the advertisement, and received by the audience, the act of buying or patronizing the product or service. And the message must be sent to a massive audience at the same time.

strategies.jpgThe most difficult part of an effective marketing job is formulating an effective personal marketing message and it is not as simple as you think. That is one of the most misunderstood concepts in marketing and advertising for check out any big firm that does or has multi-million dollar ad campaigns like Nike and they have only three words to say and people automatically associate with them (Just Do It). These big firms have thousands of staff working round the clock, developing marketing strategies but tell anybody those three words and the first thing that comes to mind is their brand. Now that’s effective personal marketing message at work. Many small to medium-sized business owners don’t have a clue about what they should say to convince clients to get them to work for them. That’s where marketing strategies and advertising comes into play, to find that niche where they can aim for and hope it clicks with customers and successfully gets the message through.

interactiveads.jpgThe internet has revolutionized and shattered the way advertising has been conducted in the many years since its conception. Traditional advertising relied on paper ad campaigns and other traditional forms in print with the internet being a more dynamic system. Being new to interactive advertising, it is simply the combination of advertising utilizing the advantages offered by the internet and the social internet beingnow common is one of the best places to do such ads. Utilizing banners, viral videos and other more action-packed methods to get your point across with embedded systems that augment or expands the contents of the ads (links) it allows your audienced to get the information should they want to. Getting your market to respond is a good thing to determine the success of any campaign and having contact information such as an email address where interested parties can contact you or call you would be the best of both worlds. You get to sell your products and services and you get to get in touch with the trends and feel of the acutal customer base.

presentation.jpgWhen looking for jobs in the highly competitive world of advertising, there are some points that may get you the job easy. Having experience and showing that in your resume is a good thing (say placing in some samples of ad acmpaigns or graphics work you have done), if you have expereince in the field. Admitting to be fresh out of college is not a bad thing for it allows you to learn and get to know the fields that would be of interest to you as you go on. Experience is the key and reading or reasearching is a good way of keeping up to date with the latest trends in the industry. When you quote your work from previous employers, take only the credit you deserve and tell them specifically the part you played and how you would be effective and a good part of the office you are about to join.
Marketing is more of an art and the art is learned from experience and from good mentors, get one and try to learn as much as you can in the shortest possible time, and try to appreciate the help you get from others.
