Your resume should be just a single page. It should never be more than that. What is important for the employer is that your resume should be easy to read. Avoid those flashy letter covers and fancy papers. Might be cute to a teenager but not with a forty-something interviewer. The resume must depict your skills and transferable skills so as to make a good fit for the position. Remember, you are not blogging. You are not getting paid to write your resume. You will have a great pay if make your resume write. Secondly, think of your resume as your 15 seconds of fame. What do you do when you are given 15 seconds to show the world what you have got? Naturally, you put your best foot forward. Show them what you’ve got and what you are capable of…in writing though. Thirdly, make sure to proof read your resume. No to grammar and spelling errors. The worst thing you can do is submit a paper with just even one misspelled word. Specify your contributions with the previous employer. MAke sure that they get a full idea of what you are talking about. No vague words and uncertain quotas and stuff like that. Remember, to be able to get that job you want, resume is the first key. Make sure you write it well and precise. Short but aggressive. Sure enogh to caprture your audience.
