Use sentences that are varying in length say a medium one then a short one to the longest ones last. Equal length sentences make for a robot-like job that is boring and useless. Go into specifics when you think it would allow you to convey the information better to your reader without overdoing it. Use bold word sets and avoid weak ones that seems you are trying to se if the person is interested, you have to get their interest for its you’re job! It would also be a good idea to check if your sentences work together, avoid going left in the first sentence, right the next and up or down with the last ones. Unify your work into one solid information packed but concise set of words that are bold and effective. It would also be nice to check your work for typo’s, even experts born with keyboards in their hands make mistakes!

Writing or copywriting is a very lucrative way of expressing views and selling products, when applying for jobs samples of your work are nice but be sure they follow some guidelines from the experts that they become acceptable and presentable. When asked to make a sample writeup as part of your testing for the job be sure to follow through with these points.
Avoid writing like a robot or the energizer bunny with repetitive ideas that go on and on and on… Make your sentences concise and exacting that they send the message across in the least amount of words. Never ever overstate the obvious when writing, saying or stating the same thing over and over again can be boring and most people don;t have time to burn and don’t like wasting time.

There are three trends that have considerable influence on the advertising industry, these are: consolidation, globalization and specialization. Consolidation occurs when small to medium sized agencies with relatively successful track records are bought out by large multinational companies to provide their other clienteles with local service. The income of the agency brought about by the global affiliations or globalization will be based on the global compensation agreements or can also be based on commission calculated from head hours. The trend of specialization have seen many agencies transform and concentrate on one sector of business like finance of health care advertising and for doing so builds a niche in this industry where oftentimes they set the advertising standards. To work in the advertising industry you must learn to be flexible and follow the prevailing trends because the trends now may not necessarily be the trend of the future.

An advertising copywriter produces slogans and text for printed ads and leaflets, radio jingles, and scripts for TV commercials. If you become one, you have a team to work with, plus an art director to provide the visual images that best suits your words.
Before you start with your job, you must know who your client is, the product, the target audience, and the message that you are going to put across in the advertisement. An advertising copywriter should be able to do multitasking because usually you would be working on several projects simultaneously under the supervision of a creative director.

Before even thinking of starting a career shift in advertising, there are some important points to remember and ask yourself if you have these traits; excellent communication skills, computer literate, flexible and has a very creative mind. The advertising industry provides highly competitive earnings, traveling extensively local and abroad and working for very long hours. The industry needs people who are willing to do all these; they needed team players who are willing to sacrifice their personal happiness due to being away most of the time with their families. But at the end of the day, self fulfillment is worth the effort.
